Common sense, local, experienced parent, committed to the success of Marion Schools.
As a long-time community member and experienced parent, I understand the values that matter most to Marion families. Running as a write-in candidate for the Marion School Board, I will bring a commitment to practical, common-sense solutions grounded in our local community’s needs. My goal is to foster a school environment that prioritizes the well-being and success of our students, ensures responsible use of resources, and listens to the concerns of parents and educators alike.
With deep roots in Marion, I am fully invested in making our schools the best they can be. I understand the challenges facing our district and will work tirelessly to provide a balanced approach that supports our teachers and meets the needs of our students. If elected, I’ll bring an accessible, parent-first perspective to every decision, always keeping Marion’s best interests at the forefront.
Common Sense
I believe that leadership begins with practical, everyday common sense. Throughout my career and personal life, I’ve approached challenges with a straightforward and thoughtful mindset, always focusing on what will work best for the people involved. In serving on the Marion School Board, I am committed to applying this approach to every decision.
Local
I’ve been a part of the Marion community for most of my life. I attended Marion Public Schools until 2004 before transferring to Cadillac Heritage Christian, where I graduated in 2006. My family lived in Cadillac briefly, but we returned to Marion in 2007 and have been here ever since, even moving across the street in 2015. Marion has always been home, and I’m dedicated to giving back to the schools and community that helped shape me.
Experienced Parent
As a father of six—Mia, Owen, Alice, Charlotte, Margot, and Lucy—I have a deep, personal investment in the future of Marion schools. Our oldest is set to graduate this year, while our youngest, identical twins, just started kindergarten. With children spanning nearly every stage of education, I’m dedicated to ensuring a strong, supportive school environment that meets the needs of all Marion families.
